The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) for Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) has been going for over 20 years. The 2025 schedule features fights that range from Fight Nights to blockbuster pay-per-view (PPV) events. The main events are typically aired on ESPN and ESPN+.
UFC Fight Nights
Fight Nights typically take place between the PPV events. They usually feature up-and-coming fighters who want to prove themselves.
Betting on UFC fights is popular throughout the US. In states like Pennsylvania sports betting fans are quick to get in on the action. Sportsbooks feed this demand by constantly dropping new promotions and prop bets for prelims and main events.
UFC Fight Night: Machado Garry vs. Prates
This welterweight fight will take place on Sunday, April 27, in Kansas City. Ian Machado Garry is from Ireland and Carlos Prates is from Brazil. These fighters are evenly matched in height and weight. This marks the second consecutive fight that Machado Garry has taken on short notice.
He has said he wants to fight the best in the world and is willing to take on anybody. Both men are climbing their way through the welterweight rankings in search of a Championship fight. It won’t be an easy fight for Garry as Prates has built a name for himself as a wrecking machine.
UFC Fight Night: Sandhagen vs. Figueiredo
In the main event on May 3 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa, Cory Sandhagen of the U.S. will take on Brazil’s former flyweight champion, Deiveson Figueiredo, who is now a bantamweight. The fight is Sandhagen’s first appearance since he dropped a decision to Umar Nurmagomedov in August.
Prior to the setback, he won three fights in a row. Figueiredo also had a defeat in his last appearance in the UFC when he lost to Petr Yan. He also had three wins in a row before that fight. With both of these fighters knowing the art of domination in MMA, the outcome will be interesting.

The welterweight main event between Belal Muhammad and Jack Della Maddalena will take place on May 10 at Centre Bell in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. As the fighters move closer to stepping into the Octagon for the first time, the tension between them is heating up. Maddalena will be Muhammad’s first UFC welterweight title challenger. He has an undefeated UFC record, just like some of the biggest ever MMA champions.
UFC Fight Night: Blanchfield vs. Barber

Barber has won six fights in a row, including one over Katlyn Cerminara in March.
UFC 316: Dvalishvili vs. O’Malley
Reigning bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili will have a rematch against Sean O’Malley on June 7 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The two fighters first met at UFC 306 in September 2024. Dvalishvili won the fight using his strong grappling game. The unanimous decision ended O’Malley’s short title reign. This is the first time O’Malley will be back in the ring since losing the title.
